About me
Natasha, born on April 28, 1982, in Altgeld Gardens, found her purpose early on in community service and music. From choir to martial arts, she embraced every opportunity at Grissom Elementary and Corliss High School. Graduating from Jackson State University in 2005, her trumpet echoed in the Sonic Boom of the South marching band. Despite adversity, including single motherhood in 2003, Natasha embarked on a teaching career in 2005. In 2010, she founded Always Reaching Children’s Hearts, honoring her late brother. Her dedication earned her a Master's in Educational Leadership in 2013, leading to roles as a Center Director and Infant Toddler Specialist. Natasha's journey evolved in 2016 as she became an ABA therapist and earned a black belt in martial arts in 2017. Recognition followed, including the 100 Black Women of Chicago Award in 2019. Transitioning to the City of Chicago's Children's Division in 2024, Natasha continues to uplift her community, now through municipal service, while also sharing her expertise as a CLASS-certified trainer. Her recent achievement of a third-degree black belt in 2023 reflects her ongoing commitment to growth and empowerment.
