About me
Chevon is the Assistant Program Manager for our PLN division at Start Early. She provides in-person and virtual trainings and technical assistance to program staff who work in center-based and home-based programs across Chicago and Illinois. She is also a Parents as Teachers (PAT) National Trainer. She has worked in the early childhood and social service field for over twenty-five years. Prior to this role, she was a Senior Program Manager for a non-for-profit agency supporting early childhood programs for both Prevention Initiative and Early Head Start Programs. Her training is from Erikson Institute with a focus on infant mental health, early childhood development, administration, infancy, and early intervention. She is trained in Parents as Teacher (PAT) model, Practice Based Coaching Model, ACT Raising Safe Children, Mommies and Babies Curriculum, and several assessment tools such as CLASS, ITERS, ECERS, ASQ, HOVER-S, etc. Other areas of interest include community health, mental health, reflective practices, and DIB.
